GOLF IN SPAIN
Golf in Spain
If you are an avid golfer and are planning on taking a trip to Spain, you are in for a real treat. Out of all the destinations in Europe, Spain is the leading choice among individuals who love to play the game of golf. Even if your game isn't quite up to the level that you want, you will still have a wonderful time playing golf on one or more of Spain's many golf courses.
So, why exactly is Spain such an excellent destination for golfers from around the world? To begin with, Spain has an excellent climate. Instead of only being warm during the summer months, Spain offers pleasant temperatures and plenty of sun throughout the year. Add to this consistent weather conditions that offer mild breezes and high levels of visibility, and you have an overall climate that is every golfer's dream.
Another factor that makes Spain one of the world's best locations for golf is the sheer amount and variety of golf courses that are available. Currently, there are three hundred and thirteen golf courses in Spain! With this many courses, it is easy to see that there are multiple courses for every budget, preference and skill level. Whether you want to play in a mountainous region, on the coast or within major cities, you won't have a problem finding a golf course in Spain that provides you with exactly what you desire.
Although all three hundred and thirteen of Spain's golf courses will provide you with a great golfing experience, there are a handful of courses in Spain that stand out above the rest. While choosing the best golf courses in Spain is a very subjective task, by combining a variety of different opinions and ratings, we have been able to compile the fifteen best golf courses in Spain.
Of this fifteen course list of Spain's best, all of the top five are located in Cadiz. These five golf courses are Club de Golf Valderrama, San Roque Club (Old Course), San Roque Club (New Course), Montecastillo Resort and the Real Club de Golf Sotogrande.
